Dry vans and dry van trailers are the most common form of truck shipping you will come across. These shipping vehicles use an enclosed trailer box, which is used to transfer most non-perishable goods. These trucks are not refrigerated or have internal HVAC systems, so if you're looking to ship goods that need to stay fresh, you'll want a refrigerated version of the dry vans. In most cases, though, dry vans can handle just about any of your shipping needs.

The dry vans will protect your goods from external elements, such as the rain and sun, which makes it a viable shipping option when a flatbed does not offer the kind of protection you're looking for. These vehicles will also not carry oversized or wide load equipment (you will want a flatbed truck for this). For most traditional shipping needs, the dry van semi-trailers are your best bet.
